Shri Pradip Banerjee 

 The Soul of Music

Born in a musical family, Pradip Banerjee has got his early lessons in Hindustani Classical Music from his parents and then from prof. Gorachand Mullick. From 1992 - 2012, Pradip had enriched himself by receiving lessons pertaining to voice as well as raagdaari from his great Guru Pt. Manas Chakraborty, son of renowned sangeet acharya Tarapada Chakraborty of 'Kotali' gharana . Pradip completed M.A with high first class in Classical Vocal Music from The Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. From the age of 20, Pradip has gained recognition in many musical conferences as one of the most talented classical vocalists. During last 10 years, his solo performances in many places in India & in Europe and in various TV channels have been highly acclaimed by the connoisseurs of music. Pradip got privilege to give vocal accompaniment with his renowned guru on the stage for 12 years.

Depiction of the ragas with an enchanting tone and creative imagination while strictly adhering to the purity is the main feature of Pradip's recital. As a recognition of his talent and riyaz, Pradip was selected for National Scholarship for the year 2004. He was also selected for a workshop assignment in vocal music covering the different states by ‘SANKALP’ (An All India Organization for integrated Participatory Development, New Delhi.). He was also selected as a khayal artist of Yuvabani in All India Radio, Kolkata. Pradip became State Champion in Classical vocal music from West Bengal Youth festival in 2009 & also got Sangeet Bivakar Award (Dip.) in Hindustani Vocal Classical Music from Bangiyo Sangeet Parishad ( 2006-07 ). He has been selected as an em-paneled artist of ICCR ( Indian Council for Cultural Relation ) , New Delhi since 2017. A Bhajan Album ‘Laagi Lagan’ has been released on December, 2019. Achieved SANGEET GURUSHREE AWARD from Sarbabharatiya Sangeet o Sanskriti Parishad, Kolkata.
